Stamp the oriental leaves in black.

Sponge
with Adirondack Butterscotch. Apply less pressure on your sponge
to get less ink on the paper. Try to get a smooth and even background
with the sponging.
5

| Sponge
with the same color (Adirondack Butterscotch) on the bottom and top of
your ATC. Apply more pressure on the sponge to get a deeper color
on your paper. |
6

Leave a light spot in the middle.
7

| Sponge the
top and bottom of the ATC darker with Adirondack
Red Pepper. |
8

You have
created a nice overlapping color on the ATC.
9

| Stamp
the background stamp over the Oriental lady with Adirondack
Butterscotch. |
10

| Sponge
the top and bottom with Versafine black. Apply very little
pressure on your sponge. |
11

Using the
black ink sparingly to intensify the red tones. Do not make the
area you are sponging black!
12

Remove your mask.
13

Lightly apply Adirondack Butterscotch with your sponge to
the unmasked Oriental lady.
14

Using a
Q-tip, apply Adirondack Butterscotch to the Oriental lady.
15

Create
shadows to give the stamped image a vintage accent.
16

| Apply Color Box Frost White pigment ink with a Q-tip
creating a white haze (Mystique) on areas around the Oriental lady.
17

Carefully
apply the white ink to the top of the head. (Try this on a sample
piece of paper to make sure that you don't see white spots after wiping
the ink gently with your finger.)
18

Blend the ink with your finger and you will get
the white Mystique effect.
19

You can
draw with the Q-tip adding white accents. Don't forget to blend
the white accents with your finger.
20

| Glue the
ATC on the black ATC paper (2.5” x 3.5”). Have
fun sponging and trying the Mystique technique. |
